The Jacksonville Jaguars having a bad Season and a 2-9 record and just now coming off a 52 to 6 Blow-out loss up in Detroit against the Lions on Sunday, Nov. 17th, 2024.  More to come about the Florida Gators now at 5-5 but an opening Game loss at Home against Miami, FL. 41 to 17 which placed 3rd year Coach Billy Napier on the HOT SEAT. But showing a really good effort & good preparation for a 4 game stretch and the latest win for Florida over LSU 27 to 16 is starting to give the Gator fans something to cheer about now. Coach Billy Napier firmly on the Hot Seat after also a 5-7 Finish to the Gators College Season last year in 2023. However Gator Athletic Director "Scott Strickland" recently said Coach Billy Napier will return in 2025 after really preparing his team well in about 4 Games in a row, while playing the Nations toughest schedule in the tough and rugged SEC.  Meanwhile,  the Jaguars with many off-Season Free Agent signings in 2024 and also some re-signings of players already on the roster, like the new deal & contract extension for three years for Jags LB Foye Oluokun.  This is what you call a Win-Win situation for the Jaguars Team - the Jags franchise and for the player Jags LB " Foye Oluokun" also. He should fit like a glove in the New DC's style of attacking the Football.  Scott at BigJReport.com   And not too many days later...The Jags LB/DE Edge rusher #41 'Josh Hines Allen" with 17 and a half sacks in 2023 has been re-signed to a multi year contract Extension now in 2024 with the Jacksonville Jaguars with a reported 88 million Dollars Guaranteed! Plus Trevor Lawrence get a new deal with the Jaguars reportedly will pay Trevor about 55 million dollars when the new deal kicks in, which will keep Jags QB Trevor Lawrence in Teal & Black through the end of the decade and pay him about 55 million dollars approximately.   SEC Football Synopsis here in August of 2024... Yea, it's a wait and see what will happen deal...The SEC appears to have the usuals at the Top like Georgia, Bama, Ole Miss & newcomer to the Conference "Texas" appears to be among the 4 early contenders. A bunch of teams in the middle of the pack trying to get to the Top in the SEC. Surprises probably Auburn and maybe Florida. LSU & Tennessee will be pushing upward too. Some people feel Texas A&M can do something also. What will happen with newcomer Oklahoma(Could the Sooners struggle in their first year in the SEC). Kentucky will be competitive but we'll see, same story with South Carolina. Probably in this Group....Arkansas, Miss. St.(We miss Mike Leach in College Football too. Congratulations Tony B.         I went to the Semi Pro EAFL Football Game between the Bold City Thunder VS. Argyle Avengers. Hard hitting game and the concession stand had a line all the way down the road it seemed like, must have been some Great Food. The Line was too long for me. The Game went to overtime..The Refs seem to take a TD away from the Avengers in overtime. Great Game and a battle.... Myere was fired on Thursday morning, Dec. 16th, 2021.   UPDATE: A New Coach is now Officially hired.... Doug Pederson is the Coach now of the Jacksonville Jaguars.   The SEC Championship Game....ALABAMA 41 GEORGIA 24 Final on Saturday, Dec. 4th, 2021.   After Florida Gator Football Coach "Dan Mullen" got fired back on Sunday, Nov. 21st, 2021 for the dismal and disappointing 5-6.  Florida fans never saw a 5 win season from Dan on the horizon going into this season in 2021.  The Florida Gator search committee has now closed in on a New Head Coach for the Florida Gator football program now.... The Defense played good at times. The O-line looks bad at times, but sometimes they're OK. The Jacksonville Jaguars Trade former 2020 first round Draft pick cornerback CJ Henderson to Carolina for Panther TE Dan Arnold and the Jags getting a Draft pick too, I am hearing a 3rd rounder from Carolina but also the Jags send a 5th round pick to Carolina from the Jaguars. So the Carolina Panthers swap players and Draft picks with the Jacksonville Jaguars.  Seemed like Cornerback CJ Henderson played maybe 2 or 3 good games for the Jaguars and that was it. The holding penalty on Jags Center Brandon Linder was a killer. Pass Rush non existent "looked like only one sack by the Jags Defense all day".  Houston QB Tyrod Taylor played well. Notable thoughts on many of the skill positions entering the 2021 Jaguars Training Camp... WR Marvin Jones is a key leader this season for the younger WR's and players. Jones brings production too as a B+ receiver. Hopefully Chark reaches his potential as a number 1 WR and Marvin Jones is 1b. WR Laviska Shenault should be the number 3 guy receiving the ball as a slot guy and WR.  Also rookie 1st round pick Travis Etienne brings "SPEED" and Etienne will be an exciting RB/slot receiver.  WR Collin Johnson hopefully will completely step up as the number 4 guy unless someone beats him to the punch. I see depth at WR and RB now.  Rookie Offensive Tackle "Walker Little" out of Stanford is a player to watch, not projected as a starter yet but should keep the competition flowing in Training Camp with the starting Offensive tackle's in Left Tackle "Cam Robinson" playing on the franchise tag in 2021 and also Right Tackle "Jawaan Taylor" starting at Right Tackle in his 3rd year out of Florida.  We will follow & cover Training Camp here at Big J Report. Another win for Jacksonville Armada FC but if a win can be described as disappointing this is it.

Poor finishing including rattling the woodwork twice was all that prevented this game from being an 8 or 9 goal blowout.

Take nothing away from the Roots, their plan to disrupt the superior passing game of the Armada was quite effective even if it did involve several dubious tackles.

However, as close as the score was, with the safe hands of Cameron Braswell in goal for the first time this season, the incredible energy of Taylor, Thomas and Adriano, and the sheer determination of Jed Bowman and Toby MacCallum the result was never really in doubt.

This was aided by second half appearances of Mason Tunbridge and Eddie Coimbra.

With three matches left, first place in the conference could easily come down to the final game against Southern Stars who lead the conference separated from the Armada only by goal difference.

Had some thoughts about the SEC Today -- 

I see 3 to 4 teams having a shot here in 2023-. I just wonder when Georgia Bulldog Coach Kirby Smart will have a down year but they still have the talent, so maybe never but we'll see. Georgia, Alabama(Coach Nick Saban has another good team ready, LSU with 2nd year Coach Brian Kelly will be a contender agian, Tennessee maybe and Florida could, could maybe be a surprise team. Texas A&M will be better but not good enough. Vandy won't win alot of Football games but they may actually be better than Missouri this year. Auburn with New Coach Hugh Freeze will be interesting. I think Auburn will be better next year than this year. Arkansas and South Carolina both remind me of the little Engine that could that is if they win the close games but they both could also be disappointing but both teams have good Coaches. Kentucky with Longtime Head Coach Mark Stoops is always capable of being a dark horse but possibly not this year. I wonder what kind've Quarterback play the Kentucky Wildcats will get this year with Will Levis being an early 2nd round selection as he leaves for the NFL now.  Finally, the Late Coach Mike Leach will be missed by College Football and Miss. St.  My dad by the way loved the SEC and introduced me to the SEC back in the early 1970's. I miss Dad. Jimbo's 3rd year at A&M it's now or never for Jimbo, he and his team will be motivated in 2020 and despite playing a difficult SEC schedule.   Florida & Georgia should battle for the SEC East Title, while in the SEC West not as clear cut, maybe as many as 3 or 4 teams battle for the SEC West Title(The 4)- should be....Alabama, Auburn, LSU & Texas A&M. Texas A&M is my dark horse in 2020. Kentucky, Tennessee & South Carolina will battle for 3rd place in the SEC East...Tennessee seems to be on the climb now. Ole Miss & Miss. St. may not be the worst in the League but they will struggle some with good but first year Coaches. The Ole Miss VS. Miss, St. Egg Bowl will be their Bowl. Losing records for both Ole Miss and Miss. St., the schedule is too tough, year 2 will be better for Kiffin and Leach. My take.   SEC College Football Teams in 2020 continue to dominate Recruiting! Georgia with what is considered to be possibly the best Total Class in the Nation! Coach Dan Mullen a TOP 10 Class For the Gators overall. FSU New Coach Mike Norvell considered to have a Top 20 Class not bad for the Seminoles, being Norvell's first class just coming in and taking the Job at the end of the College Football Season. 2019 College Football Season...It came down to One GAME and LSU QB Joe Burrow was too much for Clemson.
